WOW Bakery at Rundle’s 40th Anniversary Celebration
A Sweet Evening of Community, Music, and Celebration in Calgary
On May 21st, WOW Bakery had the honour of being part of Rundle’s 40th Anniversary celebration — an evening filled with music, conversation, and community in one beautifully welcoming space of Studio Bell.
From the moment guests arrived, the atmosphere felt warm, elegant, and lively. Seeing so many people come together to celebrate such an important milestone made the evening truly memorable for our team.
For the event, WOW Bakery prepared a large dessert catering table featuring a variety of handcrafted desserts and signature pastries, including mini lemon meringue tarts, chocolate tarts, fresh tiramisu dessert cups, butter bars, florentines, matcha desserts, assorted macarons, and red velvet cookies.
One of our favourite moments from the evening was watching guests return to the table to try something new, recommend desserts to friends, and continue gathering around the display throughout the night. Those are always the moments that stay with us long after an event ends.
Thoughtfully Planned for the Event
At WOW Bakery, we believe dessert catering is about more than simply preparing sweets for an event.
Before each event, we spend time thinking about the atmosphere of the space, the flow of the evening, and what kinds of desserts people will naturally gravitate toward as they gather, talk, and celebrate together.
For Rundle’s 40th Anniversary celebration, we planned the dessert table around bite-sized desserts that guests could easily enjoy throughout the evening.
Since larger events often bring together people with different tastes and dietary preferences, we also wanted the table to offer a wider variety of options — from lighter desserts and chocolate favourites to gluten-free and nut-free selections.
We wanted the overall selection to feel balanced and easy to enjoy during the event — with a mix of lighter flavours, richer desserts, chewy textures, and bite-sized pastries that guests could casually return to throughout the event.
