At WOW BAKERY, we believe those moments deserve something made with genuine care.
A Dream That Began in Calgary
In 2015, while living in Calgary, our co-founders, Sam and Andrew, felt that something was missing.
They believed Calgary deserved a neighbourhood bakery where beautifully crafted desserts could be enjoyed every day—not just on special occasions.
Their vision was simple:
To create cakes that were never overly sweet, made with high-quality ingredients, and affordable enough for families to enjoy again and again.
Although neither founder was a trained pastry chef, they brought together talented pastry chefs with diverse backgrounds who shared the same commitment to quality, craftsmanship, and consistency.
That vision became WOW BAKERY.
Growing with Calgary
What started as a single neighbourhood bakery has grown into a Calgary-born brand serving communities across the city, as well as Red Deer and Lethbridge.
Today, WOW Bakery can be found in Chinook Centre, Marda Loop, Royal Oak, CrossIron Mills, and several other locations.
This summer, we are excited to welcome guests to our newest bakery in West Springs, with another southern Calgary location planned for late 2027.
As we continue to grow, our goal remains exactly the same as it was on day one.
To become the neighbourhood bakery people return to—for everyday treats and life's biggest celebrations alike.
